Is your school adopting a specific program or just using some basic principals? If a specific program, what teachers will be trained and what student group will be monitored?
ReplyDeleteWe are wanting to use just some basic principals. We looked at a few programs but it didn't include everything we wanted to do. We are wanting to use all our staff including paraprofessionals so we can have smaller groups. Since all grades will participate in the program I was going to monitor four different groups, one from each grade level.
DeleteMy questions fall in line with Lara's! What areas are you focusing on and who will do all of the training? Is this going to be occuring during school or after school with select students? I was not sure who the focus group would be! I am very interested in your study as I believe this is an area my school could use assistance with...I hope to see and learn more about your project!
ReplyDeleteTraining will be minimal because the plan is to have all the lessons already planned out with step-by-step directions for teachers. Similar to a CSCOPE layout. Since all students are participating it will be done every Monday during a scheduled time. The main focus group will be seniors since they are the ones heading into the real world first.
DeleteJulie,
ReplyDeleteGreat job with your action research plan. The approach is highly-detailed, and thorough, and I appreciate that you feel your plan does not need to be revised or re-visited, at this time. The topic of Character Education is valuable, and topical, and I know your research outcomes will be interesting. Keep it up!
